Where is Annah Rais longhouse located?
Our longhouse is located at Padawan District, approximately 60 km away from the Kuching city, Sarawak, Malaysia. Kuching is the capital of Sarawak & there's number of daily flights connecting from Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johore Bahru & Kota Kinabalu to Kuching by AirAsia & also Malaysia Airlines.
The closest city to begin your journey to Annah Rais longhouse is departing from Kuching, which will take approximately 1 hour of driving distance. Although the transfer duration is pretty long, you will be amazed by the scenic countryside view, beautiful mountain range, limestone hill, paddy field, palm oil plantation estate & etc.
Coming from Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia
We would suggest you to plan your trip earlier & book your flight ticket online through AirAsia. It can be very cheap if you book your ticket few weeks in advanced. AirAsia offers number of direct daily flights flying from Kuala Lumpur's Low Cost Carrier Terminal.
Coming from Sabah - Kota Kinabalu
If you are coming from Sabah, there’s only an AirAsia direct flight from Kota Kinabalu only (the capital of Sabah). Plan your trip earlier, so that you can book for a cheap AirAsia's ticket. They operate daily flights flying from Kota Kinabalu Budget Ternimal to Kuching International Airport.
Coming from Singapore
If you are coming from Singapore, there are some direct flights flying from Singapore's Changi Airport. The airlines include MAS, SIA & SilkAir. For one way transfer, you may expect to pay for approximately S$250 per person, pretty expensive huh! Please check out MAS & SilkAir website for any available promotional airfare.
Alternatively, can choose to fly with AirAsia from Johore Bahru's Senai airport for just a fraction of cost comparing to flying directly with MAS, SIA or SilkAir from Singapore. JB's Senai Airport is accessible by road from Singapore within 1 to 2 hours of transfer.

The Details of our Longhouse Round-Trip Transfer
We will pick you up at your hotel/guesthouse at Kuching in between 7:30am to 8am, so please get ready by 7:30am, because we may be picking up other guests from other locations at the same day, & you may be the first to be picked up at 7:30am, or the last one to be picked up at 8am. The journey will take approximately 1 hour passing through the scenic country-side & also the beautiful limestone formation scenis view. We will arrive at Annah Rais Longhouse at approximately 9am & you will be greeted by our homestay coordinator - Mr. Edward Gunui, & then followed by the exciting activities that he has arranged for you.
On your last day of your trip, you will be picked up at 11am & to be transferred back to Kuching at your hotel/guesthouse, or anywhere you like at Kuching. We hope you have a good time with us & hope to see you again soon!
Take your breakfast before we pick you up at your hotel/guesthouse!
Before we come to pick you up & transfer you to Annah Rais longhouse on your very first day, please remember to take your breakfast first if possible. If your hotel includes breakfast, it will normally start serving from 6:30am or 7am.
If your hotel/guesthouse does not include the breakfast, please find a nearby coffee shop to take a quick bite. The local coffee shops normally open at 6:30am or 7am. You can try the famous Sarawak's noodle (we called it "Kolo-mee") or Sarawak's Laksa (rice noodle in herbal curry gravy cooked with coconut milk).
After breakfast, please wait patiently at your hotel lobby. If we are a bit late, please be patient, perhaps we are still picking up the other guests at the different hotel. We will definitely be there to pick you up before 8am. We will try to be on-time, every time. You can also call 016-7222590 to check if we still haven't arrive to pick you up at 8am.
